Our Proprietary Construction Process
Barrington Pools in ground shotcrete pools are built to last, with a 20-year guarantee against plumbing freeze breaks and shell leaks, provided our service department handles the annual opening and closing.
The pool’s robust structure comes from a half-inch steel rebar grid, spaced 12 inches on center, with tighter 6-inch spacing at transitions from shallow to deep ends and along the top 2.5 feet of the walls for added strength. We use a monolithic shotcrete shell, poured without cold joints or seams, creating a leak-resistant, structurally superior design that’s three times stronger than a typical house foundation. Fiber mesh is added to the shotcrete for even greater durability.
By avoiding plumbing in the pool walls, we ensure maximum wall strength, and each skimmer is independently plumbed for optimal performance. All final connections for water, electric, and gas are included, and the pool is finished with a 3/4 to 1-1/4 inch Pebble Tec coating, the industry’s most durable and long-lasting surface for walls and floors.

Invited in to join the Master Pools Guild in 1985, Barrington Pools is the only area pool builder inducted into its membership. The Master Pools Guild is a global network of elite, custom pool builders whose mission is to create the finest pools in the world. Membership is by invitation only and is earned by topping the A-list of builders in a respective area. Established in 1962 to share ideas and information, the Guild is now the largest international network in the industry with over 110 members around the world.
